A Christian Worldview guides my practice and approach to patient-centered care. As a Board Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and Licensed Registered Dietitian.

Ms. Tanner's treatment style integrates patient-centered techniques and incorporates multi-component evidence-based approaches to care, merging disease prevention, health promotion, and disease management.

Ms. Tanner has over 20 years of healthcare experience, specializing in medical nutritional therapy, integrative and functional health, disease management, mental health, and obesity management. She graduated from Virginia State University with a B.S. in Dietetics and a M.Ed. in Adult Education. 

She also received an M.S. with a concentration in Acute Care Clinical Nurse Specialist and a Post Graduate Certificate with a concentration in Nutrition from Liberty University. She later obtained her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Grand Canyon University. Ms. Tanner completed a Post Graduate Certificate with a concentration in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Radford University. 

Her background in education equips her with a unique approach to tailored care, patient engagement, and self-efficacy. Additionally, as a Registered Dietitian and an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner, She possesses a specialized knowledge base that enables her to truly provide holistic treatment, an imperative component of the wellness illness continuum of care.
